Happy Election Day! Looks like Obama has successfully secured himself another 4 years as President. Woo!
Emily, Amanda, Leslie, and I spent our Election evening at the Granada Theater down the street, where they played CNN's live coverage on a projection screen while the Burning Hotels played a live show onstage. What a brilliant idea! Also, it was SO SURREAL. For the band it must've been like playing to the most schizophrenic audience ever.
There were many people there in support of either side, so every time another state was won, half the crowd would cheer and the other would boo. Great stuff! Oh, and there was a lot of drinking going on.
Another fun bit was that, just like at regular shows, the Granada had a live Twitter feed going on the other screen. Charlie must have seen us tweeting for the screen, because he totally popped up on there, tweeting from China! Great night.
