The Monarch Butterfly Project At The Teaticket School
GENE M. MARCHAND/ENTERPRISE
The Monarch Butterfly Project of Cape Cod (A ministry of the Waquoit Congregational Church) held its first training for teachers at the Teaticket Elementary School Tuesday morning. The teachers learned about the life cycle of the Monarch and were taught to make their own butterfly cages so their classrooms can watch Monarchs hatch in September.
Retired teachers Kathy Koplik, left, and Vince Puleo both of Cotuit, talk about finding milkweed, the favored plant for hatching Monarchs.
