Tree House Treasures

A building housing Tree House Treasures and Aspen Real Estate in Camp Nelson, California. Located across from the meadow that numerous deer use for bedding down at night. We seen 30-40 deer at one time.

Pardon My Tree

Kind of makes you wonder if someone disposed of this vehicle shell and intentionally placed it as found.

Abandoned

My brother-in-law and I took a little drive in the Camp Nelson, California area and ran into a tree. The remains of this vehicle were about thirty feet off the dirt road we were travelling. There is probably some interesting history here.

Refreshing

Shari Seibold and I had a little cooler weather the last time we visited Camp Nelson. 80º F at 4500 feet versus the 90º F in the San Joaquin Valley. The Tule River was still flowing at a low level. The sound of the water trickling over the rocks, the wind in the trees and the smell of the mountains was refreshing.

Wet and Mossy

The Tule River is one of the smallest rivers in California. The river originates among high rugged granite peaks including Dennison Peak, Moses Mountain, Maggie Mountain, Jordan Peak, Slate Mountain, Black Mountain, Mule Peak, and Parker Peak. The Tule descends as much as 1,000 for every mile and altogether drops more than 9,000 feet. The river flows past several groves of giant sequoia.. The largest known giant sequoia in the Tule River Watershed is the Stagg Tree, the 6th largest tree on Earth. This tree grows in the Alder Creek Grove on the flanks of Jordan Peak.
