This fisherman makes a nice silhouette as he casts into the calm lake.
Bikers flock to Cherry Creek State Park. The roads are a bit rough, but it's an easy ride for lots of people.

This guy's in a prime birding location. From where he's at there he can see Canada geese, snow geese, mallards, hooded merganzers, red heads, green-winged teals, coots and Northern shovelers. With a little waiting he'll see herons, egrets, kingfishers, raptors and more.
This young woman is hiking, but in a leasurely fashion, off and on the beach and trails. She's got a backpack, so I suspect she's prepared for the really mild terrain (just stay out of the woods).
I shot this kingfisher fishing the other day during a snow and had to use very high ISO. I went back today to find him fishing in exactly the same spot, so I stayed an hour to catch his fishing action in much better light.

Those that know how hard it is to shoot these birds have been asking how I did this. The key was that I was lucky enough to find a king fisher perched near enough to the road that I could shoot from my car-blind. They tend to have a relatively small territory, but they favor certain perches that hang out over the water. They'll fly out a bit, but generally they'll fly straight down. That's a good thing for photographers because the focus point is often the same for the bird in the water as when it's on its perch. The shots below are really a compendium of around six dives. I took close to 800 shots and whittled it down.
There were several bald eagles at the lake this morning, so I decided to park and hope to catch one fishing. Well, no such luck, but you can always count on the Canada Geese for some group take-off shots in the a.m.
What was I thinking? Nothing really, the dial just spun around there on it's own and I have no idea how. I had to apply a bunch of chromanance NR, but I was surprised at how sharp it stayed. This is around a 50% crop, on top of the high ISO.
