Flooding due to the heavy rains has made shelters unlivable in one of the many camps for displaced people in Baidoa, Somalia. Thousands of families are affected. Many latrines have been ruined, and the threat of waterborne diseases has risen. NRC staff here are assessing the problem, but more aid is needed to respond to the flooding.
There have been heavy and frequent rains in Somalia, and many other cities are facing a similar situation, like here in Baidoa.
