For lunch at work we tried a new restaurant called Boca 31. It’s a Latin joint in the location that once was Captain Nemo’s. It doesn’t look like they’ve done any renovation to the place whatsoever, but the food was great! They have fantastic empanadas and tacos for pretty cheap. Chris even got a horchata popsicle and some guava cream cheese empanadas for dessert.
As we made our way back to the office, Chris encountered a Pokèmon that he just couldn’t capture. He caught it over 15 times while we all sat in the office parking lot, watching, but each time it would pop back out. In the end, it ran away! It was pure adrenaline.
After work I drove to Aledo to get my ear checked out. All they did was mix a little water and alcohol and shoot it into my ear with a syringe. I got to hold a weird little curved bucket against my head to catch the debris, and it was good that I did! Three whole q-tips came out of that thing, and suddenly I could hear again! After so long being deaf in that ear, it still feels really strange, like my brain has to rebalance and EQ my audio inputs. It’s like my left ear is super tinny now. I drove by to say hello to my parents before heading back to Denton. I can hear everything!
