There is a stillness sometimes in the city, one that Edward Hopper captured well; a significant moment frozen in the sun. Some of my work reflects that point of view, as Hopper has been my favorite artist since I was a child. I don't know where I first knew of his work, but it has stayed with me and is an undercurrent to many of my images. I can't help seeing him in so many of the urban landscapes that surround me.
