This photo was taken from the top of the Tokyo Tower. It's a 2 exposure (-2 and 0 EV) HDR blend The problem with taking photos from Tokyo Tower is that the main level is enclosed by wall size windows, some of which red and blue lights shining directly above them. This results is some very interesting (and persistent) red/blue/purple hues. I did my best to correct it in the photo but the result looks very funky -- let's just chalk this one up to creative license!
A shot of central Hong Kong Island as seen from Victoria Peak - Lugard Road to be more specific. This is my favorite spot for an aerial view of Hong Kong. It's a bit crowded during sunset and early evening but nowhere near as packed at the Peak Tower. The Hong Kong cityscape is unlike any other in the world, a fact that is helped thanks in no small part to the incredible views offered on the peak. I didn't have a tripod with me so this was a 2-second exposure wide open (f/2.8) with the camera braced against a guard rail.
An 8-shot panorama of Manhattan as seen from the Brooklyn Heights Promenade in the winter. This area is normally packed with tourists during the summer but is practically deserted when the cold weather comes around. For a ground-view of the city, it can't be beat.
