I was at the base of the brand new 111 Eagle street tower taking shots of the buildings in to the sky. All of a sudden I heard a tapping and turned to see that a security guard from the building was calling me over through the glass. "Here we go again, the tripod police telling me I can't shoot the building because I may be a terrorist" I thought. To my surprise he said "you will get better shots from the top you know". A long story short, he was bored and so took me up to the roof so I could get the best view of Brisbane. Surreal. All images creative commons non commercial

This was taken on Kangaroo Point, across the water from the CBD of Brisbane. Due to the low amount of light polution on this side of the river, on a clear night you can see a full sky of stars over the city. I don't recall ever going to another city where this is possible.
