Construction on the new steeple at the First Parish Church on Congress Street in Portland, Maine.
City Hall, Philadelphia, PA. (Philly Speed). It was a dark and rainy night (I'm a photographer not a novelist) when I had the pleasure of taking this night shot of Philadelphia's city hall. Looking north on S. Broad Street, I appreciated Philly's willingness to spruce up the scene by providing the illumination for the buildings. It changes colors, by the way, but I liked the way the blue contrasted with the red of the tail-lights. This is also a very lucky shot -- lucky because there was a light rain to give the pavement and bricks just a bit of reflective sheen, and lucky to have a girlfriend wonderful enough to stand in the middle of the street on a rainy night holding the umbrella while I twiddle with the camera!
