Autumn Sunrise at Oxbow Bend
I was camping in Yellowstone National Park, roughly two and a half hours from Oxbow Bend, on the night of September 20, 2016. I'd called Jackson's (the closest city to Grand Teton National Park) Chamber of Commerce, trying to figure out if the colors of the trees in the National Park were at their peak yet, because I didn't want to miss the one to three day window during which the aspen in the park are at their absolute best. They told me I'd better come as soon as possible, so I got up at 3:45 on the morning of the 21st in order to be at Oxbow Bend before sunrise. Long story short: I think I can stand behind this photo as perhaps the most beautiful photo I have ever taken. Only nine copies of this photo will ever be produced, and it is only available at the absurdly large and jaw-dropping size of 36 by 90 inches. Guaranteed to brighten up any room.
