Sunset at Heceta Head
Much better Viewed Large on Black
I had forgotten just how much fun black and white can be after a couple of years of really focusing on color work. When I was first learning photography most of my work was black and white Tri-x and Tmax film. I'm certainly not giving up color, but don't be surprised to see a bit more black and white work on my stream over the coming months. Thinking in black and white makes for a great compositional challenge to see scenes rich in contrast and strong forms that can visually excel in the B/W format.
Shot notes: Enfused image from 7 frames. Converted to black and white after tonally adjusting the enfused result (see color version in comments). Conversion to black and white via Silver Efex Pro and my own tonal adjustments. No NR was needed.
