SmugMug > all-time keyword > code > The heart of any true ham radio station, the means to send morse code. (note there's not a mic hooked up to either hf rig) The front is a Nye master key that I've had since the early '90s, not much to look at but would take a direct nuclear strike to hurt the thing. I keep thinking about maybe getting a fancy one with lots of polished wood and chrome or gold plating but so far just keep pounding away on the Nye. The one in the back is a single paddle CT key for use with an electronic keyer, in this case the internal keyer in my ts-570dg. I really love pounding the straight key though so the CT doesn't get a whole lot of use. While on the subject of straight keys I want to mention the SKCC, straight key century club, that promotes the use of hand keys on the ham bands. Check them out at www.skccgroup.com and tell them ka4iqd #4302 sent you. And yeah, I should have dusted. :-)
