A patch of Indian Blanket wildflowers (Gaillardia pulchella) AKA Firewheels on FM 1864 in Callahan County just west of Scranton, Texas. For the past several years this stand of Indian Blankets has included a few less common solid yellow blossoms. This season some of those yellows are sporting red streaks. Shot with an Olympus E-M1 and Lumix G 20mm. f/1.7 with attached Olympus MCON-P02 macro converter. Not as good at the Olympus great 60mm macro obviously, but it works with the Lumix pancake and is good for those times when you have to travel light. Raw conversion in Phase One Capture One Pro 8.2 via Lightroom CC. Post Processing in Photoshop CC, on1 Perfect Effects 9.5 Suite, Alien Skin Exposure 7 and Google Nik Collection Color Efex Pro 4.
