The 2013 Waldoboro Day parade begins with Grand Marshal Sally Pennington's grandchildren proudly displaying a poster. Currently hospitalized,  Pennington was chosen to represent the theme,“Old Time Values and Traditions.” She and her late husband Sam founded the Maine Antique Digest in 1973. She has volunteered for the Waldoboro Public Library, served on the Medomak Valley Land Trust board of directors and tutored teenagers preparing to get their GED. (Shlomit Auciello photo)
