ANZAC Day 100 under the Southern Cross at Kings Park, Perth - 25/4/2015 (Processed image)
ANZAC Day, 25/4/2015 was the 100th anniversary of the disastrous World War I campaign at Gallipoli, Turkey.
We remember those Australians and New Zealanders who have paid with their lives in all wars at their country's call. We remember all those who have put themselves in harms way to uphold the values and freedoms we sometimes take for granted, but which we hold so dear.
"They went with songs to the battle, they were young.
Straight of limb, true of eye, steady and aglow.
They were staunch to the end against odds uncounted,
They fell with their faces to the foe.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
We will remember them."
