This is Belle—my “Nurse Pup”. She likes to “guard” my knee by gently laying her head over the staples. I had a Total Knee Replacement done on 16 November 2015. She is AMAZINGLY careful not to step on, or hurt the incision. When we are working with my leg, she moves off a few feet and watches with a concerned look on her face. When we are done, she immediately returns, checks things out, then settles into guard duty when she is satisfied everything is good! When it is time for bed at night, she RELUCTANTLY agrees to go to her own bed (right beside me on the floor). As soon as we are awake, she figures her “shift” has started, so up she comes to inspect and make sure I am ok. She knows I have a wound, and she is going to make sure she does everything in her power to help me heal!
I need to find a little “Nurse’s Cap” for her!
