"ULTRA STILETTOS"

"Wear big high heels, but do practice walking!" ~ Victoria Beckham

Here's another one for all of the shoe fanciers. This shoe was worn last Friday by one of my colleagues who LOVES shoes as much as I do. She wears some of the most unique and attention-grabbing shoes! She sure did look "glam," in her hot pink suit, black shirt, and hot pink/black polka dot bow-tie; but I shudder to think how my feet would have felt at the end of the day:).

Previously, I posted a shot of another one of her shoes here: http://godschild.smugmug.com/Project365/Daily-Dose-of-One-A-Day-2012/19925393_swcnH9#!i=2241393102&k=dVLkNvK&lb=1&s=A

"A SKYSCAPE"

"A cloud does not know why it moves in just such a direction and at such a speed...It feels an impulsion...this is the place to go now. But the sky knows the reasons and the patterns behind all clouds, and you will know, too, when you lift yourself high enough to see beyond horizons.” ~ Richard Bach

Have a blessed day!

"LAKEPORT PLANTATION"

"People often say that 'beauty is in the eye of the beholder,' and I say that the most liberating thing about beauty is realizing that you are the beholder. This empowers us to find beauty in places where others have not dared to look, including inside ourselves." ~ Salma Hayek

An Arkansas State University Heritage Site

"The Lakeport Plantation house, built in 1859, is the only remaining Arkansas antebellum plantation home on the Mississippi River. The Greek Revival structure is one of Arkansas's premier historic structures. Added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1974, the home was gifted to Arkansas State University by the Sam Epstein Angel family in 2001. After five years of restoration work, the home opened to the public." ~ Reprinted text from the official website here: http://lakeport.astate.edu/Index.html

"TWO-STORY"

"Having somewhere to go is what we call HOME. Having someone to love, who loves us in return, is what we call FAMILY. Having both: BLESSING." ~ Kemmy Nola

There's no place like home. I photographed this one from the vehicle one day after work; the lovely low-light and shadows were initial attractions. I am aware that it is slightly tilted:).

Hang in there; tomorrow is Friday!

"PARTY BARGE 21"
(Sun Tracker)

Everything I need to know about life, I learned from Noah's Ark:
One: Don't miss the boat.
Two: Remember that we are all in the same boat.
Three: Plan ahead. It wasn't raining when Noah built the Ark.
Four: Stay fit. When you're 600 years old, someone may ask you to do something really big.
Five: Don't listen to critics; just get on with the job that needs to be done.
Six: Build your future on high ground.
Seven: For safety's sake, travel in pairs.
Eight: Speed isn't always an advantage. The snails were on board with the cheetahs.
Nine: When you're stressed, float a while.
Ten: Remember, the Ark was built by amateurs; the Titanic by professionals.

I photographed this from the vehicle. It was in the yard of a residence across the street from the home featured in yesterday's post.

"TRIO OF JAPANESE MAGNOLIAS"

"Flowers can bloom and thrive in a variety of circumstances—likewise, our lives are full of challenges and triumphs, easy times and hard ones, but we too can thrive even in difficult conditions. Make the most of your life experiences and enjoy the journey! Live an abundant life by putting your energy toward the things that are most important to you. Create your own wonderful life by maintaining your relationships with your friends and family and establishing traditions with your loved ones. Nurture yourself spiritually, mentally, and emotionally and allow time to develop your interests. Fill your heart with love, and serve those around you. As you balance all of life’s demands, bloom where you are planted, and experience the abundant life." ~ Author Unknown

SOOC, uncropped, flash fired

I think the background makes it appear that these were photographed at night, but they were not. Instead, they were photographed one evening after work in the front yard of a residence.

Have a wonderful Wednesday.
