"Red for bravery and bloodshed; white for hope and peace; blue for freedom and justice and just like the stars in sky, our American dreams are endless...." ~ K Dunlap, fellow SmugMugger
"Labor Day, the first Monday in September, is a creation of the labor movement and is dedicated to the social and economic achievements of American workers. It constitutes a yearly national tribute to the contributions workers have made to the strength, prosperity, and well-being of our country." ~ Reprinted text from here: http://www.dol.gov/opa/aboutdol/laborday.htm
I'm proud to be an American and I love the song "God Bless the USA" by Lee Greenwood. I thought I'd post something other than a flag this year. I'm definitely a fan of "Why go for the same old when you can go for the bold?" Although I am not at all fond of the visibility of the price tags, this was taken inside of a gift store and I was not at liberty to touch the displays. I didn't complain, the clerk was nice enough to afford me an opportunity to take as many photos as my little heart desired:).
Have a safe Labor Day!
