Sunday, February 24, 2013 "THE LIFE OF RILEY" “The beautiful thing about learning is nobody can take it away from you.” ~ B. B. King February is African-American History Month and this is my contribution to IndigStudios's African-American History challenge today with the theme of "At the Crossroads of Freedom and Equality." B.B. King was born Riley B. King and is an African-American blues guitarist and singer-songwriter who is quite endearing to all nationalities and age groups of people. Although I am not a fan of blues music, I like B.B. King. I first met him when he visited and performed at my university's alma mater years ago; and to this day, he has continued the tradition. Sunday, February 17, 2013 "FORMERLY OWNED BY SUGAR RAY LEONARD" "The difference between men and boys is the price of their toys." ~ Doris Rowland On display, although not for sale, was this black Bentley Turbo-R, which the current owner contends was formerly owned by boxing champion Sugar Ray Leonard. According to the information card, production was between 1985-1997, with 7,230 assembled in Crewe, Shire, England. This one is a 4 door Sedan and has a 6.75 L, Bentley 8 engine. Also, this model is related to the Rolls Royce Silver Spirit. I appreciate your comments on the "Headlight 2 " photo yesterday.
