I Can't Believe the Huskies Won06 February 2013 -- 37/365Barrington, Rhode IslandLooking for a change in scenery, I headed to Haines Park in Barrington for today's photo. There are usually a few walkers, cyclists, and fishermen in the park, so I was hoping to continue my street photography series. As it turns out, there was just this gentleman walking his reluctant Boston Terrier. I say reluctant because it was clear the pup wanted to be anyplace but there. The look on his face is priceless, and that leads us to the caption of today's photo. There are four Division One college hockey teams in Boston: Boston College, Boston University, Harvard, and Northeastern. Every year, they meet at the TD Bank Garden for a tournament known as the Beanpot. The rivalries are intense, and winning the Beanpot is as important to these teams as the entire rest of the season. This past Monday the first game in the semi-finals was played between the Northeastern Huskies and the Boston University Terriers. The Huskies won, 3-2. As you can see in today's photo, this Terrier is clearly not pleased with the results.Post processing today started with a standard greyscale conversion in Topaz B&W FX. I adjusted color sensitivity sliders, followed by adaptive exposure, regions, boost black, boost white, and protect highlights. I adjusted brightness and contrast in PSE and topped it off with a sepia photo filter.
Alexander Garden Of Moscow Kremlin In Wintertime
February 06, 2013 daily photo.

So here you see Alexander garden of Moscow Kremlin. To the left you see the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and the alley of hero-cities (each granite block is devoted to a specific hero-city and contains a capsule filled with the soil of that city), then comes Middle Arsenal tower of the Kremlin wall and Troitskaya (Trinity) tower topped with a ruby star. The large yellow building is known as Arsenal building of Moscow Kremlin.

"Mardi Gras"

As I was processing this shot, I realized it had Mardi Gras colors. It's that time of the year. I liked the dark lines in the purple pansy.

Y'all are just wonderful with all of your comments and critiques.

Gone With The Wedding
February 05, 2013 daily photo

The lettering on balloons says as follows: Harmony and Love!
This is a traditional well-wishing phrase they say to newlyweds.
Actually this bunch of balloons was used in some wedding ceremony and they let it go.
Let it be Harmony and Love for every couple!
