"205"

“I tell people to drive up to their house like they've never seen it before. Look at the mailbox since this is the first thing prospective buyers will see. If it needs to be repaired do it. If the door knocker is squeaky, fix it.” ~ Carol York

Got mail?

Hang in there; tomorrow is Friday!

"FEATHER REED GRASS"

"Zeal is a volcano, the peak of which the grass of indecisiveness does not grow." ~ Kahlil Gibran

I like to call these "tassled or ornamental grass" basking in the golden sunlight. I really like the color and the way the sunlight hits the tassels on the top of the grass. Also, when fellow SmugMugger DreamCatcherPhotography posted a similar photo on 3/3/2013, I posted a comment that I had photographed some grass that would be a future post; well, here it is:).

WOW! Thanks for your overwhelmingly kind comments on yesterday's "A Cherry On Top" photo; it landed in the #2 spot. Congrats to Dianne M. Ward, whose photo was #1; although coincidentally, both of our photos showed 36 comments as of yesterday.

Have a wonderful Wednesday.

"PURPLE PICK-UP"

"Have you ever noticed that anybody driving slower than you is an idiot, and anyone going faster than you is a maniac?" ~ George Carlin

Purple reigns!

Not one of my best shots, but this was a very quick "point and shoot" snapshot with my hubby's camera. Surprisingly, I didn't have my camera with me. I spotted this purple truck from the highway and pulled over to get a closer look and to take the pic. The owner was bending down near the gas pump (notice the driver's side door is opened).

Oh Happy Good Friday - no work for me - woo hoo!!!

"JAPANESE MAGNOLIAS & BUDS"

"To fight and conquer in all your battles is not supreme excellence; supreme excellence consists in breaking the enemy's resistance without fighting." ~ Sun Zsu

The first signs of spring in February.........no fooling:)!

These blooms were photographed on the grounds of the church in yesterday's photo. According to a little research, "The tulip magnolia is also commonly called saucer magnolia and Japanese Magnolia, and sometimes just Soulangiana after its botanical name, Magnolia x soulangiana."

Have a marvelous Monday - another day off - woo hoo!!

"3-in-1"

“God proved His love on the Cross. When Christ hung, and bled, and died, it was God saying to the world, ''I love you.'' ~ Billy Graham, American Christian Evangelist

These crosses are on separate roofs of the church, as you can see, so I had to do lots of maneuvering to accomplish my goal of getting them all in one photo from this perspective. Also, the resurrection is an essential part of Christianity. There is no Christianity without the resurrection. If you don't believe it, read 1 Corinthians 15.

Thanks for perusing and commenting on my photos. Busy day - I will post comments on your photos later.

Happy Resurrection Sunday!

"WHITE JAPANESE MAGNOLIAS & BUDS"

"Flowers can bloom and thrive in a variety of circumstances—likewise, our lives are full of challenges and triumphs, easy times and hard ones, but we too can thrive even in difficult conditions. Make the most of your life experiences and enjoy the journey! Live an abundant life by putting your energy toward the things that are most important to you. Create your own wonderful life by maintaining your relationships with your friends and family and establishing traditions with your loved ones. Nurture yourself spiritually, mentally, and emotionally and allow time to develop your interests. Fill your heart with love, and serve those around you. As you balance all of life’s demands, bloom where you are planted, and experience the abundant life." ~ Author Unknown

"A CHERRY ON TOP"

"Can somebody please invent a straw that can actually be used with a milkshake?" ~ Unknown Author

SOOC, uncropped, flash fired

I don't post many food shots, although I take lots of them (especially when we dine out at new restaurants). After work and a long day of meetings, I decided to stop by "America's Drive-In" (aka Sonics) and order a vanilla milkshake. Thick and creamy........with a rich vanilla flavor.......finished with whipped topping......... and a cherry on top = yummylicious!

Have a "sweet" Tuesday.
