Saturday, April 27, 2013 "DRESS CODE III" "Individuality will always be one of the conditions of real elegance" ~ Christian Dior I'll admit; I have an affinity for costume jewelry. Shown here is one of my favorite necklaces adorning a lime green turtleneck that I paired with a chocolate brown suit worn to work on the day this was photographed. Christian Dior, the legendary designer, proclaimed: "No elegant woman follows fashion slavishly. You have to consider your age, your body, your lifestyle, personality amongst other things. Just because it looks good on a model or in a magazine, it does not mean it looks good on you. Just because everyone is wearing it, does not mean you have to wear it too. Remember, individuality is not an excuse for eccentricity." Amen!! The caption and sign say it all. Thanks for your comments on my "Beads and Bangles" photo yesterday; it was #1 for a while, but finished in the #2 spot; but I am not sweating the small stuff. 2/12/13 Day 43/365 Decided to try something new today...I'm so tired of feeling bloated and swollen in my hands and face. Don't know what is causing it but it's driving me crazy. I found this lovely stuff at Target this weekend. So far, it may have done nothing other than possibly giving me a migraine :-( Would be nice if it worked! We'll see!
2/11/13 Day 42/365 Ok it's a truly awful picture quality-wise but she looked soooo funny sleeping with her ears weirdly flopped out like this. I just had to snap a pic and all I had near me at the time was my iPod. Unfortunately, I didn't end up taking any other photos today so this I guess this is my pic for today! ;)
