Day 31. The DPS theme this week is desserts. It's going to be a long, tasty week. I asked my husband what he would do for the theme; he suggested photographing an ice cream cone in the snow. Hmmm. Not as easy as it sounds, especially while trying to supervise one's kids playing in the front yard...at 12:30 pm in the glaring sun. Poor ice cream cone. This is the best of the bunch, but I'm not as happy with it as I wish I was. Not sure if I'll revisit this subject and try again, maybe at a different time of day or in a different setting. For my other dessert shoots I'm planning on baking some Martha Stewart recipes and trying to recreate the magazine shots (with my equipment and budget, not Martha's). We'll see how I do!
