Rough from the start
First light at the Mona Vale Beach rockpool (Sydney Northern Beaches). Wasn't such a good day. This was the first shot that day. Even before this shot, my wireless shutter release remote fell out my pocket into one of those pools of seawater. I picked it up right away, pulled out the batteries and put it away, but that was a shooting morning ruined. With poor light and relatively long exposures, doing without a shutter release sucks. Even with a 2 sec exposure delay, I had to manually push the shutter, which meant not-so-sharp images when the exposures were long(ish). This one came out OK. Trying now to rescue the remote with distilled water, isopropyl alcohol and white rice. Let's see after a week whether the remote works otherwise a replacement TX-RX set will have to be purchased...
