Playa with Water
Death Valley, CA OCT 2015. A playa is a lake bed in the desert that has no outbound drainage; water flows in but not out. What water doesn't soak into the floor evaporates leaving salt and mineral deposits. In this playa, near Mesquite Dunes, water was standing from the previous day's storm.
