We didn’t arrive in Victoria until this evening, so we got to mess around the ship (and sleep in) some more today. Emily and I played some mini golf up top, and she got her first-ever hole-in-one! Granted, this was her second time ever playing mini golf, but dude she got a hole-in-one! You might even call it a Holt-in-one. But you also might not.
Victoria was super cool, but I almost wish we hadn’t done a long guided tour. The walk took the better part of two hours, and while it was super interesting, it would’ve been fun to just wander around on our own. We saw the legislative building all lit up, and the Empress Hotel, which I guess is a big deal. The whole town kind of felt like Canada’s Portland to me, in a good way. I’m guessing that when the world hits post-apocalyptic status, Victoria will be a safe-haven. Mark this!
After the tour, we grabbed drinks (and some wifi) at a local pub. Mom had tried to change our seats on the plane from the ship, but it didn’t work out. She bought 15 minutes of horribly overpriced, terrible internet, and our time was up before we were able to accomplish anything whatsoever. We were able to get our money back, but not until after the dumb-dumb running the internet cafe blamed the Southwest website. UH NO LOL.
Main downside to Victoria: No Pokèmon.
