I'd seen pictures of this on the internet and then found where it was in donegal, but by the time i'd got round to going to see it most of the front bow section had gone.
Built in France in 1971, wooden hull, 65 Tonne, fitted with bottom otter trawls, registered to Sligo #SO297. Looks like she was 'retired' from service in '99.
Lareasa finished her days as a crabber but was in a poor state at the end. She was no longer safe as a working boat and was beyond repair for anything else it was put at anchor where it is and sunk and broke apart after a few years. She had served her time and was beyond economical repair.
