02.09.13 Behind Closed Doors. Two Doors Viewed Thru a Chain-link Fence. Sleepy Hollow Motor Court. Albuquerque, NM, Rt 66 (central Ave) at 11th St. I was downtown today and saw that this old RT 66 motel looked like it was being torn down. I went back later, around 5pm, in the cold, overcast air and wind and shot a series of pictures of the hotel before it is gone or changed. This was shot from the back street (Kent St) When I was looking at the images while they were still in the camera, I wasn't sure I liked this shot and almost deleted it. I am glad I kept it, because it is unique. I also found out when I got home that The Sleepy Hollow is being revovated and will be re-opened as a shelter for people with HIV. The Sisterhood will be posting their daily from this same series.
