St. Matthew's Church St. Matthew's Church was designed by Erik Lallerstedt and built in 1903. I didn't know about it until fairly recently, but once I saw a picture or two I had to stop by. Coffered wooden ceilings and golden chandeliers are often good signs of a photogenic environment.
The current use of this former industrial building is a fine example of adaptive reuse. In the heart of lower Hamilton, 270 Sherman has been transformed into a creative industries complex, with space for workshops and small manufacturing, office space for creative professionals, and studios for artists. The former textile mill was built in 1900 and operated until 1972.
