Between Heaven and Earth
I was on my way to the summit, because I wanted to see something different than only this fog! I was for hours in this forest and thanks to my compass and a map I was looking for a way up. When I finally reached this place on the photo I was supposed to go left, but something was different and very strange …. it was very dark and very gloomy and I could see almost nothing. It was very quiet and you could easily hear the rustling of leaves in the wind. The wind blew the fog up and down the mountain like the waves on the sea, a bit creepy but also fascinating at the same time!
And suddenly our dog Giorgio stopped and began to growl. I have learned to listen to him in such situations and tried to see something in the dark. And out of a fairytale from left to right … wow … so many deer running down the mountain. I throwed my backpack to the floor and grabbed my camera. Damn it was too dark!!!! And before I could set up the right parameters on my camera this very beautiful and special moment was over. And there we stood and like an idiot I stand there with my camera in the hand but without photo ;-) I was so disappointed. This was a moment I have never photographed in my life!
But I don’t know why, but suddenly the sun shone through a small part of the thick fog and lit up a small corridor into that forest. Mmmmmmhhhh? I am not superstitious and my way would have been to the left through the darkness, but in front of me was this illuminated corridor. I pressed the magic button on my camera and made this photo. Then I accepted this invitation and went through this illuminated corridor he he he :-) What would you have done in such a situation?!?
