spring cleaning crosses a bygone era.
not only are bobble heads a thing of the past, so are the thrashers, as are the nhl careers of both of these players, both of whom were obtained by draft in 1999.
on the right is tomi kallio, obtained by the thrashers from the avs in the expansion draft. after a couple of full years with the thrashers, and bouncing around his 3rd year in the league, he returned to finland where he still plays.
on the left is patrik stefan, first overall pick in the 1999 entry draft. first every entry draft pick by the thrashers. their only other first overall pick was kovalchuk.
other first round picks include heatley, lehtonen, slater, coburn, valabik, bourret, little, bogosian, laveille, kane, burmistrov.
