Loft Lighting - We decided to go with mini can lights in the loft, too. The skylight is actually a little smaller than the framed space; the ceiling will continue straight across to the top of the skylight.
Skylight - The big square space on the left will be the skylight. We had originally planned to have a pair of smaller skylights, one on each side of the loft, but decided to go with a single larger skylight instead. There should be a nice view of the Cascades from up there.
In the Loft
Attic Wall - The new wall between the room and the attic is framed up and the heating duct is in place.
Mini Can
Cans - These little 4-inch light fixtures were just about the only thing that would fit here.
Above and Below - When we did the original remodel back in 2001-2002, we went to great pains to avoid recessed "can" lights. The very low ceilings both in the loft and below it left us little choice this time.
Electrician Time - With most of the framing done, it's electrician time!
