"CHRISTMAS SPLENDOR - 2"

"Don't measure the height of your Christmas tree. Measure the abundance of the love present in your heart." ~ Anonymous

12 days until Christmas.............

This is the full-length view of my favorite Christmas tree; yesterday's photo was of its base. In her comment on yesterday, Karen (aka kjakes1) inquired about a full-length view of this tree. Well, it was uploaded and awaiting its debut today:). Also, "Christmas Splendor" was sponsored by Travel Leaders and designed by Mid-South Women's Connection. It won 1st place for "Most Traditional."

Hang in there; tomorrow is Friday.

"OUR FUTURE IS IN OUR HANDS"

"The future is in our hands. We are not hapless bystanders. We can influence whether we have a planet of peace, social justice, equity, and growth or a planet of unbridgeable differences between peoples, wasted resources, corruption, and terror." ~ James D. Wolfensohn in "A Better World Is Possible," July-Aug 2003

I love this tree topper and the royal blue and metallic gold are pretty color combinations. The "Our Future Is In Our Hands" Christmas tree was sponsored by International Paper and designed by Dr. W.H. Brewster Elementary School students (Ms. H. Ferguson's Kindergarten Class and Ms. A. Martin's Exceptional Learners Class). Additionally, after photographing the Christmas tree, the principal arrived and posed in front of the tree to have her picture taken. The school's website is here: www.mcsk12.net/schools/brewster.es/index.htm

Full-length view of the tree is here: http://www.smugmug.com/gallery/26339222_7wBpMJ#!i=2221362084&k=R52w4j7&lb=1&s=A

My Second Favorite Christmas Tree.......sponsored by UCA/Varsity and designed by Junior Troop 10053. It won 2nd place for "Best Theme."

Your comments on the "A Charlie Brown Christmas" tree yesterday are very kindly appreciated. While growing up, I loved watching Charles "Charlie" Brown, the protagonist in the comic strip Peanuts, by Charles M. Schulz. Apparently, so did many of my fellow SmugMuggers:).

Happy Monday and have a great start to the work week, everyone.

My third favorite Christmas tree......sponsored by Mickey and Judy McLellan and designed by Sleigh Riders Collectors Club, won 1st Place for the "Best Theme." I didn't notice the black bird until I uploaded this photo.

Have a blessed day.

"PINK CHRISTMAS"

"A smile is a curve that sets everything straight." ~ Phyllis Diller

I really liked this cute, fun, and whimsical ornament that was hanging on a Christmas tree titled "Pink Christmas." The first thought that came to my mind was, "If you're happy and you know it, then your face will surely show it," lyrics from a popular repetitive children's song, stemming from an old Latvian folk song. Unfortunately, the tree did not have a sponsor, but it was designed by Phi Mu Fraternity (a women's organization - contrary to its name).

View the Christmas tree from which this ornament hangs here: http://www.smugmug.com/gallery/26339222_7wBpMJ#!i=2221333328&k=SXtNf3x&lb=1&s=A

13 days until Christmas........

This is the base of my favorite Christmas tree this year - "Christmas Splendor," sponsored by Travel Leaders and designed by Mid-South Women's Connection. It won 1st place for "Most Traditional." I loved the entire tree, but couldn't resist this close-up shot of what was under the tree.

Thanks for your comments and have a wonderful Wednesday.
