I attended two funerals yesterday. Each for a man who will be greatly missed by their families and friends. One of them I knew well, the other I had never met. The message from both of their services was this: Their families and friends knew without a doubt that they were loved by these men.
They knew this because these men had spent quality time with them; taken the time to listen to them; lived life with them; told them they loved them. These men did not let the tiny problems in their lives occupy the big spaces of their hearts. They made the time to spend with their loved ones letting those moments fill the large spaces in their hearts and memories, leaving the little problems of life to be just what they were... little.
Now set aside those pesky little things, and never allow those you love... to ever forget that you do.
