Off their rockers.
These large, comfortable rockers, conveniently situated in the pavilion of the Gateway Garden, rarely have people seated in them. People are missing a good thing! You can bring a book, and maybe a cool drink, sit, rock, listen to the plash of water in the fountains and the songs of the birds, enjoy the colorful flowers. What are they waiting for?

Repeat after me...

I chose this shot for its repeat pattern and limited color palette. It wasn't well focused and was shot in flat light, so I added a couple of filters to give it a little more visual interest.

Bear's Breeches, aka Oyster Plant, Acanthus mollis
Family Acanthaceae . . . Native to the Mediterranean...A tender perennial, hardy outdoors only in the warmer climate or growing zones in the USA, but potentially invasive where it is hardy.
Acanthus flowers typically have thorns on their sepals (that's what 'acanthus' means), so beware when handling.

Thanks so much to all of you who left comments for yesterday's shot of a cemetery angel even when I wasn't able to comment myself. Each one was heartily appreciated.
Waimea Falls
After an awesome sunset and sunrise, we decided to hike to Waimea Falls. People are aloud to swim here, (with life vests) The Big Stopper came in handy to get rid of them in Long Exposures. Here is one of my favorites from here. Processed this with Nik's Silver Efex Pro 2
