I wish I could had photographed the head long leap that the chameleon performed to catch his meal, but it was so fast and caught me completely by surprise. As I watch I really didn't think that the chameleon was going to perform his insane jump to catch the prey. The chameleon was crouching on the fence railing about 8 to 10 inches above the moth setting itself and crouching for the jump. At that moment I was thinking to myself, "there is no way that the chameleon is going to jump all that way and catch that moth". But I'll be darned it if didn't.
