Behind the Curtain
Approaching dawn, Paki Paki Cemetery, Hawke's Bay, New Zealand
To Love Beauty Is To See Light. Near the summit of Scout Scar, Kendal, The Lake District, Cumbria. The sun rising, the morning mist rolling out across the landscape, dew on the grass, mountains peaking above the mist… I decide to brave the steep cliff face to get a more intimate shot. Lisabet was worried for my safety. I don’t mind admitting that I slightly bricked it, trying to get this! =D
She Showed Me The World And My Eyes Opened. Welcome to Scout Scar in the Lake District, Cumbria. =) I am really quite happy that I managed to wake up early enough to make it to this place in the morning glow with Lisabet: once we hiked to the top of Scout Scar this… view of the mountains all around us and the distant lands covered in patches of morning mist greeted us. It was such a beautiful, spiritual experience. So ridiculously quiet too. This place reaches 233m above sea level and offers tremendous views of the Lake District and the Yorkshire Dales in a full 360° view. I wish you could’ve been there with us. =)
