We don't often drive out this way, but happened to pass this tower just after sunset on our way home. The OH pulled over & I took a few shots, but the sky kept getting better & better, so out came the tripod... (2 weekends in a row!).
Whilst we've seen this tower before, I've never known what it was called. I looked it up when we got back & found it's called Horton's Folly, or Horton's Tower, & dates to 1750.
Imagine my joy when I found it was built by some one called Humphrey. :)
