04.06.13 - Field Impressions The light was stunning in the fields while walking the dog yesterday, in fact yesterday was just the perfect hot sunny June day. The air was full of butterflies, damselflies, dragonflies and birdsong, and everything seemed to shimmer in the heat. This was actually the last shot I took as we headed back down the hill between yellow oilseed rape and white cow parsley. I deliberately used the long end of the zoom lens and focused on the foreground to create the impressionistic effect.
26.05.13 - This Green and Pleasant Land A perfect end to a perfect day. This is a 2 shot photomerge panorama while walking the dog around sunset last night. This is looking north-east, with the river on the left and the low ridge of Lincoln Edge on the right. I live in the houses on the right. 16.05.13 - The Steps This is from Wednesday evening, but I only got round to processing it yesterday. This one of my regular running/dog walking routes. There is a big open hillside just beyond the trees with extensive views over the city and beyond, I've shared them many times, but this is a very different more intimate view I think. I'm going to be out photographing various Dambuster 70th anniversary events today so won't be around much
