Interesting Market Finds
December 18. 2013
Here's another interesting find from one of the stores in Nicaragua. I believe what is in the basket is Horseradish, but I found the ropes laying over the top to be quite lovely in their colors and they added interest to the shot. I'm certain that the ropes were placed there as a matter of space conservation. The stalls for each of the merchants were tiny, so every square inch was covered. Most of the time, there wasn't a rhyme or reason for the placement of objects for sale.
"Why do two colors, put one next to the other, sing? Can one really explain this? no. Just as one can never learn how to paint." ~ Pablo Picasso
I'm going to have to take a few days break from the Dailies to get caught up on work, Christmas shopping and other "honey-dos" but I plan on being back for the weekend, and will get caught up then.
Have a color-filled day today my friends!
P.S. Late Addition: Several have mentioned that it's probably Ginger, so I wanted to note that, and I do believe they are correct and my first guess as to what was in the basket is incorrect. Thanks to TsTravels and DycassStudios! SmugMugger's ROCK and are the best group of people to talk to and learn from.
