The Angel of the Waters
Fountain The Electric Fountain at the intersection of Wilshire and Santa Monica, which marks the end of the fancy Beverly Hills section. Also, at this point it started pouring rain for quite a while. I kept walking, though, and made it all the way to the Westfield Century City mall before seeking shelter. Of course it stopped raining just a few minutes after that.
Fountain Man This fellow does not look thrilled to be holding up the fountain. There were four of him, though, so at least he had help.
Welcome to Beverly Hills Here's a nice milestone - reaching Beverly Hills where we get to walk for several miles on a dirt path instead of concrete sidewalks. I took my sack lunch from ink.sack and ate it under a tree near this fountain. It was the first time I had really sat down, so it was really nice.
