Bucket

Mackenzie Beach
Near Tofino, Vancouver Island, BC

* Sun's out :) We got a beach day!...
Yesterday my friend Cindy and I recollected driving around singing one of our favorite albums, Tug of War. The first song on the album is called "Bucket", and the lyrics are attached. Although we do not have a sandy beach nearby, we joked about going to build a sand castle, but we are settling on a lunch date today!! So when I came across this image from a trip to Vancouver Island I just had to post it for her. It holds a lot of other subliminal messages... Yesterday I booked a flight to Vancouver, so I will be on a sandy beach a week from now... Today I get to hang out with my bestie... and today Carly Rae Jepsen WILL win a Grammy for Song of the Year. I started listening to Carly Rae in 2007 when she was on Canadian Idol, where she placed third, but I thought she should have won. I loved her from the moment I heard her, with her quirky voice and all her cuteness. I was fortunate to meet her that year and scooped up her first album, in 2008, the day it came out. Look at her now!! It just goes to show you that, with a little perseverance and determination, you CAN do it! It may take years, but if you dream it, you can build it, even if you have a hole in your bucket :)
(For those of you who do not know who Carly Rae Jepsen is, I have three words... Call Me Maybe!)
