I shot these pomegranates at an underground garden in Fresno, California. Granted, these aren't underground but most of the gardens are planted below the surface grade. Not so much in the dark underground but about 10 feet below the surface was dug out and planted which is much cooler in the summer in Fresno which can normally be above 100 degrees F. It's hard to tell in the photo but these fruits were quite large.

"A CHERRY ON TOP"

"Can somebody please invent a straw that can actually be used with a milkshake?" ~ Unknown Author

SOOC, uncropped, flash fired

I don't post many food shots, although I take lots of them (especially when we dine out at new restaurants). After work and a long day of meetings, I decided to stop by "America's Drive-In" (aka Sonics) and order a vanilla milkshake. Thick and creamy........with a rich vanilla flavor.......finished with whipped topping......... and a cherry on top = yummylicious!

Have a "sweet" Tuesday.

Fruit Table
A local deli just started carrying mangosteens, long banned in the United States due to fears of Asian fruit flies contained in the fruit. This is big news, or least big news for me. Been trying to find this fruit for years, even failing in Costa Rica, Vietnam, and Thailand trips.
A local deli just started carrying mangosteens (purple mangosteens, officially; Clusiaceae), long banned in the United States due to fears of Asian fruit flies stowaways. There availability is big news, or least big news for me. Been trying to find this fruit for years, even failing in Costa Rica, Vietnam, and Thailand trips. In Costa Rica I tried to locate them by using very bad Spanish, and succeeded only in making the store clerks blush; they brought out some racy manga, instead.
