I took many backside photos of flowers and leaves, for this week’s challenge but when I saw my daughter bathing her baby it gave me an idea.
My goal was to create a portrait of her hands cradling the baby, one that I could use for this challenge and keep as a memory.
Here is my photo featuring the back side of tender caring hands cradling a wee baby backside.
I used a tripod for this and that was a good thing as little arms and legs were in constant motion.
I had a tough time deciding how to crop this. The decision of how much space to leave around the subject can make or break a photograph. I finally chose a closer crop to highlight the hands and baby but for myself, I will print the other version with more space around the subjects.
I edited using the clone tool, healing brush, dodge tool and desaturate adjustment.
