"SWEET TARTS CANDY CANES AND ORNAMENTS"

"And the Grinch, with his Grinch-feet ice cold in the snow, stood puzzling and puzzling, how could it be so? It came without ribbons. It came without tags. It came without packages, boxes or bags. And he puzzled and puzzled ’till his puzzler was sore. Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn’t before. What if Christmas, he thought, doesn’t come from a store. What if Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more.” ~ Dr. Seuss, an iconic and beloved American writer and cartoonist

7 days until Christmas.........

Have a terrific Tuesday, my friends!

"MINI FRAGRANCE TRAY"

"People will talk about you when they envy you and the life you lead. Let them. You affected their life. Don’t let them affect yours." ~ Anonymous

First of all, I am genuinely appreciative of your overwhelmingly kind comments on my "Ornamental Centerpiece" photo yesterday. I never take for granted that you take the time to peruse and comment on my photos.

Next, this still-life photo came about as a result of me placing the mini fragrance tray on a glass table to photograph it. After I took the photo, I noticed the bowl of glitering and sparkling Christmas centerpiece ornaments sitting in a tray on the glass table. Do you recognize it as my post from yesterday? If not, view it here: http://godschild.smugmug.com/Project365/Daily-Dose-of-One-A-Day-2012/19925393_swcnH9#!i=2247404895&k=PWNjf2j&lb=1&s=A.

Also, The Mini Fragrance Tray's packaging included the turquoise ceramic bottle, expresso finish wood tray, bamboo rain fragrant oil, natural reeds incense sticks, two glass votive candle holders, and two tealight candles. I added the green and brown marbles for interest.

8 days until Christmas..........

Have a marvelous Monday and a great start to the work week.

FIREPLACE MANTEL

I added the garland and pine cones to the fireplace mantel today. The pine cones were a gift from PC on Friday.

"ORNAMENTAL CENTERPIECE"

"Enthusiasm is excitement with inspiration, motivation, and a pinch of creativity." ~ Bo Bennett

I will catch up on posting comments later.

Another one of my creations.........I love decorating and "Tis the season for ornamental centerpieces. Bright, shiny ornaments are always eye-catching on a table. I don’t know about you, but I think it is so much more fun to make things myself rather than buying them; so, by mixing various shapes and colors - both matte and shiny - I created a cheap but amazingly easy-to-make, festively colorful centerpiece.

9 days until Christmas...........

Have a blessed day.

"MERRY & BRIGHT REMIX"

"I have always thought of Christmas time, when it has come around, as a good time; a kind, forgiving, charitable time; the only time I know of, in the long calendar of the year, when men and women seem by one consent to open their shut-up hearts freely, and to think of people below them as if they really were fellow passengers to the grave, and not another race of creatures bound on other journeys." ~ Charles Dickens

Today is the first day of winter and there are three more days until Christmas.

I did a tad bit of pp with this one. We didn't put up a Christmas tree this year, and I decided against decorating the formal dining and living rooms. I did, however, decorate the kitchen table, which I'll post a pic of soon. For a festive look and to add a little bit of holiday cheer to our foyer, I decided to place Christmas ornaments in a bowl. Adding a shiny bowl of beautiful same colored or multi colored ornaments is an instant and inexepensive way to jazz up a room. When papamugger posted his shot of balls in a bowl a few days ago (12/20/2011), I had already uploaded this photo and thought to myself, "Great minds think alike."

My creative juices were flowing and I metamorphisized it here: http://www.smugmug.com/gallery/15844504_ZjNqd2#1642953451_c6snBHc-A-LB

May all the joys of the season be yours, and may your days be merry and bright.
