Epic Electric Half moon

Röde OrmThis traffic overpass is nicknamed "Röde Orm" (Red Serpent in English).

Röde Orm is also the name of a famous (at least in Sweden) novel written by Frans G.Bengtsson that I read long time ago in school.

Today I could only vaguely recall Röde Orm so I googled (actually I used DuckDuckGo) and learned that the book was translated to 23 languages and that the English version was named "The Longships".

Wikipedia says the novel portrays the political situation of Europe in the later Viking Age:Andalusia under Al-Mansur Ibn Abi Aamir
Denmark under Harold Bluetooth
Ireland under Brian Boru
England under Ethelred the Unready
Sweden under Eric the Victorious

None of these guys came to mind when I took the picture.
