Grey Jay

These little guys, more commonly known as camp robbers, stay in the same location year around, even in Winter. They have some tough months when food is scarce but are creative in storing food and surviving even when there are no camps to rob!

"FEATHER REED GRASS"

"Zeal is a volcano, the peak of which the grass of indecisiveness does not grow." ~ Kahlil Gibran

I like to call these "tassled or ornamental grass" basking in the golden sunlight. I really like the color and the way the sunlight hits the tassels on the top of the grass. Also, when fellow SmugMugger DreamCatcherPhotography posted a similar photo on 3/3/2013, I posted a comment that I had photographed some grass that would be a future post; well, here it is:).

WOW! Thanks for your overwhelmingly kind comments on yesterday's "A Cherry On Top" photo; it landed in the #2 spot. Congrats to Dianne M. Ward, whose photo was #1; although coincidentally, both of our photos showed 36 comments as of yesterday.

Have a wonderful Wednesday.
