This is a crocodile, not an alligator. Notice how much more pointed the snout is than an alligator's. And, this was much bigger than even the biggest alligators at least twelve feet long. Crocodiles live in salt water. Alligators do not, though they will tolerate salt water. This beast was in The Everglades National Park in Flamingo. It was the only crocodile we saw in two weeks where we saw hundreds of alligators. This animal was photographed in the wild, though you can see rip rap where it is sleeping.
