Day 110 - Fearless
Yes, that is what this little guy is. Here he is leaning out off of a playground structure, not a care in the world. Drives his mother crazy. He sees big brother do something, then he has to do it. This past winter, he decided to take his sled down the back hill, which at the end of it, has a twenty foot drop off, some trees, and an electric fence. I was on the front porch, the last thing I saw was him running at the top of the hill throwing his sled down, then jumping onto it face first. I grabbed my shoes, as I knew it likely wasn't going to end well. By the time I got around the house and down the hill, Jase was crying, Ryan was screaming and crying, having witnessed what his brother had just went through. I picked Jase up and immediately began to check him over. He had a bleeding lip and a scratch on his nose. I asked him if he was ok, he said he was crying because he lost his boot and had his foot in the snow. Ryan told us later that he had bounced off the tree and flown through the air into the fence, and he was worried about his sock feet in the snow... fearless. And don't get in his way. "I do it" can be heard 100 times per day, coming from his cute little face. Drive, persistence, stubbornness, fearless, all things that this one possesses. He drives his mother and I crazy, but we know that in the future, these are all qualities that will serve him well.
